ABOUT ME

Michael John Navarrete is a 3rd generation farmer agronomist. He was born and raised in Ontario, OR on an onion, wheat, corn, and sugar beet farm. The farm began after his grandfather Emiliano Navarrete traveled to the United States from Mexico through the Bracero Program during WWII. His Dad, uncles and many cousins have continued the legacy Emiliano started all those years ago.

He received a double degree in Biology and Spanish from the University of Portland in 2012. In 2019 he received his Master's in Agronomy through Iowa State University, focusing on Soil Health and Fertility.
